Flamin’ Hot firestream
When Frito-Lay revamped the design for its Flamin' Hot line of snacks, they wanted to make sure consumers knew the different-looking products they saw on shelves were still the same flavors they knew and loved—just with a new look. So, we decided to announce the change by retiring the old packaging with a bang—or, better yet, a blaze—on a TikTok livestream with our host James Henry. Despite the tight budget and all the challenges of learning to produce a 2-hour live broadcast, the final execution was flawless and garnered over 150,000 highly-targeted views, half a million likes and 19 million impressions.
The Burns
We retired the packing for Cheetos, Fritos, Funyuns and Doritos with Rube-Goldberg inspired burns performed by real fire experts. Then we hosted a TikTok live event, coined Firestream, where TikTok star James Henry reacted live to the blaze. He also hosted trivia, interviewed our fire-breather, talked to viewers and gave away plenty of custom swag.
