SunChips & Art Basel
Sunchips at Art Basel
In 2021, SunChips launched Art Seen to give artists affected by the pandemic a way to reclaim their stage and have their work seen. We impacted the lives of five individuals by spotlighting their work on murals and billboards in five major U.S. cities. We also provided a total of $50,000 in cash prizing so our winners could continue making waves through their art. But as we look ahead to Art Seen 2.0, we want to do more. We want to expand and deepen our impact on the art community. SunChips believes diverse viewpoints are the fuel that power a one-of-a-kind world. But, we know that less than 15% of art in permanent collections is created by women or people of color. So, this year, we’re giving those underrepresented individuals an opportunity to stand on one of the biggest stages in the U.S. art scene: Art Basel Miami Beach.

To make sure our Winning Artists work was SEEN by the masses, we gave them biggest stage we could offer – SunChips Packaging. They each designed one of the core packs, with their original artwork, and SunChips put it on shelves nationwide! For added visibility and reach, each artist was also awarded a hand-painted OOH mural and a $10K cash prize. We also extended the campaign to Snap with a custom lens that donated dollars for each share.
